దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న పలు పోస్టాఫీసుల్లో గ్రామీణ్‌ డాక్ సేవక్‌లుగా పనిచేసేందుకు గాను ఇండియా పోస్ట్ రిక్రూట్‌మెంట్ ప్రక్రియను ప్రారంభించింది. ఈ ప్రక్రియలో భాగంగా మొత్తం 2,582 పోస్టులను భర్తీ చేయనున్నారు. 10వ తరగతి పాస్ అయిన వారు ఈ ఉద్యోగాలకు దరఖాస్తు చేయవచ్చు. ఇందుకు గాను ఆన్ లైన్ అప్లికేషన్ ప్రాసెస్ నవంబర్ 12వ తేదీన ప్రారంభం కాగా డిసెంబర్ 11తో గడువు ముగియనుంది.

కాగా ఈ ఉద్యోగాలకు గాను ఎలాంటి ఎగ్జామ్ లేదా ఇంటర్వ్యూను నిర్వహించడం లేదు. కేవలం 10వ తరగతిలో వచ్చిన మార్కుల ఆధారంగానే ఉద్యోగాలను కేటాయిస్తారు. అయితే 10వ తరగతి కన్నా ఎక్కువ విద్యార్హతలు కలిగిన వారు కూడా ఈ పోస్టులకు దరఖాస్తు చేయవచ్చు. కానీ 10వ తరగతి మార్కుల ఆధారంగానే ఎంపిక ప్రక్రియ ఉంటుంది.
ఇక రిక్రూట్‌మెంట్‌లో భాగంగా బ్రాంచ్ పోస్ట్ మాస్టర్, అసిస్టెంట్ బ్రాంచ్ పోస్ట్ మాస్టర్ ఖాళీలను కూడా భర్తీ చేయనున్నారు. ఈ ఉద్యోగాలకు కనీస వయస్సు 18 ఏళ్లు ఉండాలి. గరిష్టంగా 40 ఏళ్ల వయస్సు ఉండవచ్చు. ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, ఓబీసీ, ప్రత్యేక అవసరాలు కలిగిన వారికి వయస్సు పరిమితిలో మినహాయింపు ఉంటుంది. అభ్యర్థులు ఏదైనా గుర్తింపు పొందిన స్కూల్‌లో గణితం, ఇంగ్లిష్‌తోపాటు స్థానిక భాషను ఒక సబ్జెక్టుగా చదివి ఉండాలి. వాటిల్లో పాస్ అయి ఉండాలి. 10వ తరగతిలో పాస్ అయిన వారికే మొదటి ప్రాధాన్యతను ఇస్తారు. ఉద్యోగాల్లో ఎంపికైన వారికి బ్రాంచ్ పోస్ట్ మాస్టర్ అయితే రూ.12వేల నుంచి రూ.14,500 ను ఆరంభంలో వేతనంగా చెల్లిస్తారు. అదే గ్రామీణ్‌ డాక్ సేవక్, అసిస్టెంట్ బ్రాంచ్ పోస్ట్ మాస్టర్ ఉద్యోగాలకు అయితే రూ.10వేల నుంచి రూ.12వేల వరకు ఆరంభంలో చెల్లిస్తారు.
